The name of this curry has been coined by my husband. It actually goes back to his days of college, and bachelorhood. He made this curry most of the time and invited all his classmates over for a feast. This is the same curry he made years ago to impress me, an amateur cook in the kitchen. (little did he knew that his wife would cook many more things and even blog :D !
This curry can be cooked in a jiffy, is low on spices and tastes delicious.
Here's all you need...
Chicken-one whole, (cut up, cleaned and washed)
salt- to taste
ginger-garlic paste-1 tbs
red pepper powder- to taste
garam masala-1 tsp
tomatoes-2 medium, cubed
turmeric powder-1 tsp
Method: Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients except the onions and the oil for 20 minutes. Heat Heat oil in a pot and saute the onions until they turn brown. Add the marinated chicken and cook on high heat for ten minutes and stir it gently. Lower the heat to a medium and let it cook for ten more minutes. At this point, you should see the oil floating on top. Turn the heat to the lowest and cook for five more minutes. Turn off the stove and transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
