Shrimp-fried Rice

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

This is a very simple version of Shrimp-fried Rice, with very little oil and no MSG at all:)


basmati rice-1 cup, washed and soaked for 30 minutes
salt to taste
oil 2-3 tbs
peas-1 cup
shrimp-20 in number(cooked, tail off)
water-to boil rice
egg-one, beaten
black pepper powder-1 tsp

Method: Boil water in a big pot. Add soaked rice and put salt and let it boil until 90 % cooked.Drain all the water and set aside. In a saute pan, put the shrimp with ta pinch of salt and cook for two-three minutes. Pour a tsp oil and saute until they turn pink in color and remove from the pan and set aside. Add one more tsp of oil and saute the peas until they become greener. Remove from the pan and put them on the shrimp and set aside. Pour another tsp of oil and crack the egg , put a pinch of salt and the black pepper  and scramble and remove and set it with the shrimp and peas. Set the big pot back on the stove and pour a layer of rice and andd a layer f the shrimp-peas-egg mixture. Put another layer of the rice and continue alternating until all the rice and the shrimp-peas and egg are over. Cook on medium heat with a lid on, until you see the steam escape from the lid. Transfer to a serving plate and Enjoy!
