Chicken Qorma

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

This is the most delicious Chicken Qorma I have ever made. It needs a careful roasting and  fine grinding  of certain ingredients frying the same on a medium-high flame until the oil and the groung mixture seperate. If these things are taken care of, the result is sure to be a big success bi-iznillah!. Follow me and see how I cooked this Qorma.

Ingredients:

Chicken- One whole, cut into pieces, cleaned and washed
ginger-garlic paste- 1 tbs
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1 tsp
red pepper powder- 1 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
onion-one small. finely sliced
oil-2 -3 tbs
cilantro- 1tsp,chopped
mint leaves- 1 tsp, chopped
yogurt- 1 cup
almonds- 10-15, roasted
poppy seeds-1 tbs
coconut powder- 2 tbs
chironji- 1 tsp


Method: Marinate the washed Chicken in ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder, yogurt and set aside for one hour.

Heat a pan and dry roast coconut, almonds, chironji, poppy seeds seperately and grind them into a fine paste using just a little  little water. Heat a pot and pour oil and fry onion until golden brown. Immediately put the ground paste and keep stirring and fry it until it turns golden and seperates from oil. At this point, put the marinated Chicken and cook on high heat and keep stirring carefully until the gravy becomes thick and the chicken is almost cooked. Pour water to get desired consistency  and reduce the flame to medium and let cook for 5-6 minutes and turn off the stove. Put the chopped cilantro and mint leaves and cover with a lid. After a few minutes, transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
